Cancellation Policy

Cancellations due to acts of God (illness, death, natural disaster, inclement weather etc.) are fully refunded. We always try to reschedule first, but when this is not possible, you will receive a full refund.

Cancellation by Client Notices:

More than 5 days prior to the charter are eligible for a full refund.

4-2 days prior to the charter the client is eligible for 50% a refund.

Cancellations less than two days before charter date will be charged in full.

The receipt date of a cancellation notice submitted in writing or by telephone shall be the basis for settlement of the stated cancellation charges.

Non-show-up cases are not eligible for any refunding.

Cancellation by Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd.:

Should the booking be cancelled by Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd., then Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd will offer the Client:

a) A reservation of another vessel, from own fleet or from another fleet, of similar size and with similar features, if possible. If the new vessel is cheaper than Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd will also refund the price difference as per valid pricelists of both Vessels, applying the same discounts which were approved to Client for the original booking. Generally, in case of switching to another vessel, these Terms apply to the new vessel accordingly.

b) full refund of all amounts Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd has received from Client for the Vessel. Client acknowledges that in case when severe damages of the Vessel have occurred during the previous charters, or due to events such as acts of God, Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd does not assume responsibility, and in turn the Client shall aim to be cooperative towards finding appropriate alternative solution under such circumstances.

Damages Policy:

In case of incurred damage due to gross negligence of the Client, or behaviors related to excessive alcohol consumption in violation of Sail Bermuda’s beverage service policy, influence of illegal drugs, tampering with navigational/operational equipment, ignoring safety commands or other serious breaches of Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd’s Terms, the Client shall be liable for all resulting damages, including expenses connected to repairs and remunerations for lost charter income over the balance of the season. In such cases the Client is liable to cover those expenses without delay, and at latest within 30 days from the end of the charter period. In case of lost equipment such as water toys or similar, the Client is liable to Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd for the full replacement cost of the lost items. These must be paid to Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd. within 7 days from the end of the charter period.

Medical Concerns:

Sail Bermuda Charters Ltd is not liable for any injuries related to undisclosed prior medical conditions.
